If you think that in order to be good at something you need to be better than the rest, it is time you rethink that strategy. The mindset of being competitive is good when it comes to winning. When you’re out there trying to do artistic work or work that you’re skilled at it doesn’t work the same. Everyone has a particular soft skill that they are good at but in order to fully rip the benefits you’ve got to let go competitive mindset.

Why competitive mindset is bad?

When you’re competitive about your skills with another person or an entity you draw further away from mastering the skill. Being competitive makes you lose focus from the thing that makes you happy. Competitive mindset has your eyes set on the opponent rather than yourself. Being competitive might take you to great heights in terms of success. It doesn’t elevate the people around you. Competitive mindset is bad because it steals your creativeness. While competitive mindset might help you win things in life but you end up losing yourself in the process.

Why creative mindset is useful?

Creative mindset not only helps build your skillset but it makes everyone around you better. What better example than a creative player on a football pitch? The person who is the most creative and unselfish creates more opportunities for others on that pitch. Having a creative mindset helps you work on yourself. Creative mindset sparks improvement of your competition. Being on the creative plan gives you abundance of everything. Creativity also helps you find your true self.

When you’re out there working, make sure to not focus on the reward or the competition. Being on the creative side makes you better; you enjoy life a lot more. Even if it is a 9 to 5 job, try and be on the creative side by doing you’re job right. Do not concern yourself with what others are and aren’t doing. As long as you are doing right by you, you will succeed. Lastly, this goes without saying, the best way to instill creativeness is by being thankful. Thankfulness repels competitive mindset like the similar poles of a magnet repelling each other.
